No more mess is a simple INIT utility that gives you the option of stopping a “Clean up the window” or “Clean up the Desktop” command from the Finder.
Frankly, I suddenly got tired of choosing the “Clean up” menu item in the finder when I emptied my trash. I always had my windows arranged the way I like them, and the process only messed them up. Thus I wrote the No More Mess! INIT to give me an option to cancel the clean-up process (which I think should have named “Mess up”).
The instructions are simple. 1) you must be using System 7. 2) Drop No More Mess! into the system folder. 3) Restart your machine.
If you want to disable No More Mess!, remove it from the system folder (It should be in the extensions folder) and reboot.
This utility didn’t take very long to write, so I have decided to release it for free. Feel free to distribute it as long as this documentation accompanies it. If you want to make a donation for using the program, I would be happy to accept it. (See the Address below)
